Refund Policy

SAFE Initiative deeply values the trust of our donors and is committed to transparency and accountability. As a nonprofit organization, donations are generally non-refundable, but we understand that exceptional circumstances may arise.
General Refund Policy
Donations made to SAFE Initiative are considered final and are typically non-refundable, as funds are quickly allocated to urgent humanitarian programs.
However, we may consider refund requests under limited circumstances.
Eligibility for Refunds
A refund may be considered if:
- The donation was made in error (wrong amount or duplicate transaction)
- The donation was unauthorized or fraudulent
- A written request is submitted within 7 days of the original donation date
All refund requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Refund Processing Time
If a refund is approved:
Processing may take up to 30 days
Refunds will be issued back to the original payment method where possible.
Non-Refundable Fees
Please note:
Payment processing fees charged by third-party processors (e.g., Authorize.Net, Stripe, PayPal) are non-refundable
SAFE Initiative does not receive or control these fees and cannot reimburse them.
The refunded amount, if approved, will exclude any processing or transaction fees.
Recurring Donations
For recurring donations:
- Donors may cancel future donations at any time by contacting us
- Past donations already processed are subject to this Refund Policy
- We recommend contacting us before the next billing cycle to avoid additional charges
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please email:
Include:
- Full name
- Donation date
- Donation amount
- Transaction ID (if available)
- Reason for refund request
Policy Updates
SAFE Initiative reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
