My Story

The Idea behind SAFE Initiative

Farming has always been a way of life for me. I was fortunate to have the resources to sustain my farm, but as I looked around my village, I saw hardworking farmers struggling to make ends meet. Many had no land of their own, no funds to buy seeds, fertilizers, or equipment, and some were forced to abandon farming altogether. I knew something had to change.

I started by leasing land from owners and giving it to these farmers so they could continue their work. But I quickly realized that land alone wasn’t enough—without capital, they couldn’t cultivate crops, and without crops, they had no income. To bridge this gap, I began supporting them with interest-free loans, fertilizers, and essential farming tools, ensuring they could survive until their first harvest.

As I spoke with landowners willing to sell, I saw a bigger opportunity of buying land and offering it to farmers in easy, interest-free installments, while reserving a portion for those who couldn’t afford to buy at all. But to truly transform lives, I needed to expand this effort. That’s when the SAFE Initiative was born.

Our mission is simple: turn unused land into thriving farms, empower farmers with resources, and create a sustainable path out of poverty. So far, we’ve cleared over 7,400 acres of land for farming, but we’ve only just begun. With the right support, we can scale this initiative across Nigeria, providing more farmers especially young people and women, the opportunity to build a future in agriculture.

Nigeria is rich in land and potential. The only thing missing is the support to unlock it. SAFE Initiative is not about temporary aid; it’s about long-term empowerment. When we help a farmer stand on their own feet, we don’t just feed one person—we feed families, strengthen communities, and build a food-secure Nigeria.

Now, I need your help to keep this movement growing. With your support, we can buy more land, provide more interest-free loans, and train the next generation of Nigerian farmers. Together, we can turn struggle into success and hunger into hope.
