My Story

The Idea behind the SAFE Initiative

Farming has always been a way of life for me. But over time, it became more than that. It became a calling. As I looked around my village, I saw fellow believers, my brothers and sisters in Christ, who had lost everything to Fulani bandits and Boko Haram attacks. Their homes were gone, their lands destroyed, their faith tested yet their hope in God still burned strong.

I realised I couldn’t fight the war with weapons, but I could fight it with love. I could help them rebuild their lives through farming just as Jesus said, “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for Me.”

So I began leasing unused land and giving it to Christian farmers who had nothing left. I provided them with seeds, fertilizers, and tools so they could grow again, both in faith and in livelihood. When I saw their joy return with their first harvests, I knew this was God’s work, not mine.

That’s how the SAFE Initiative was born out of compassion and conviction. Today, we’re helping displaced Christian families turn barren land into fertile farms, providing not just food, but dignity and purpose.

I believe Jesus is using me and all of us who care as His hands and feet to heal these wounded hearts. Together, we can restore what was lost and bring light where darkness once prevailed.
